If these were really nothing but handles that were there so you can grab someone you love, that would be fine. Some people have love handles so prominent that they hang over the waistband of their pants. "Muffin top" is another name for this. If you have such handles or muffin tops, you should be glad to know that they are ways to get rid of them. There are a lot of things that you can do to get your weight under control and shrink those fat stores back to, well, nothing. Here are some things you can do to lose weight and inches.

Start out by moving around. Exercises that have low impact, like walking, are a healthy alternative. If you are loathe to leave your house, why not invest in a treadmill? Set it up in front of your television set so you have no excuse. Turn on the radio and spend some time dancing to some good music. Being active is key, regardless which activity you choose to participate in. Because the weight will not come off if you are just sitting around. Truth be told, you will just gain more weight sitting around. And you certainly don't want your love handles getting bigger. Another helpful tip is to practice proper posture. It takes energy to sit up and stand up straight all day. This energy requires the burning of calories. Forcing yourself to sit up straight is a form of exercise in the beginning. In addition to helping you burn calories, practicing proper posture can help reduce the appearance of the love handles that you are carrying around. Especially when you are walking around. We tend to think love handles are endearing, since they sound so cute and fun. On the contrary, they are often a source of embarrassment, irritation and an annoyance. No one enjoys having their waistline expand the confines of their pants or skirt. Luckily living with this extra fat is not a requirement if you don't want to. Living a healthy lifestyle, so that you drop inches and use up that fat is a possibility. With some hard work and a dose of patience you should see your love handles shrink.
