How Your Biker Vest is Similar to a Canvas [article from Articleranks]

How Your Biker Vest is Similar to a Canvas

If you were asked to picture an American biker, what would you think of? The image that would pop into most people's minds would be a longer haired man sittin on a bike wearing a leather vest with arms covered in tattoos. Some people would visualize a man wearing a pair of chaps and a full leather jacket but the majority of us would see the vest as synonymous with the biker.

One benefit provided by the biker vest is that it acts as a canvas for all of your patches and biker artwork. The problem with sewing a motorcycle club patch onto a T-shirt is that you could not really expect it to last too long. T-Shirts are too flimsy and easily worn out to make it practical. You could always put your patch on your leather jacket but when it gets too warm it would also be impractical. To compromise, the biker vest is the ideal choice.

Despite the fact that there are no sleeves, there is still enough room for artwork and patches on the vest. A lot of people will use their biker vest as a blank canvas for military designations, political statements or raunchy humor. Larger patches fit nicely on the back and sides while the front is the perfect space for your smaller patches. And no matter what personal tastes you have, you should find that it is easy to come across a patch that will suit.

The biker vest is probably not something you will use if you ride a sport bike. However those who ride a touring machine or a street bike like a Harley will definitely want to make sure that they are not seen without a biker vest. Before you can be considered a true biker, you will need to invest in this part of the uniform.

All ardent motorcyclists understand the need for having the proper apparel, so incorporating biker vests to expand your existing riding wardrobe is an absolute must. You can only feel awesome when riding when you look your best.
